Performing Hands
An online learning resource for the BBC that received a BAFTA nomination in 2008.
Overview
The Performing Hands resource is packed full of games, activities and stories to help young Deaf Learner master BSL and written English.
It is hosted by the world's first online BSL signing, real-time avatars. These enable a wide range of hitherto unachievable dialogue games and literacy tools.
The resulting product, comprising of over 40 stories and 20+ games has fully exploited the capabilities of Flash and Director in particular.
The Art and Animation was done by Adam Schofield, 3D Model Texturing by Sophie Shaw and the heavier scripting by Richard England and Terri Gilbertson.
